The Public Policy Committee of the Winona Area Chamber of Commerce would like to invite the business community to learn about 21st Century Mining in Minnesota.
In many discussions about ‘greening’ America’s economy, a critical factor is often forgotten – where do we currently – and where should we – mine for the natural resources needed to build clean energy solutions, electric vehicles, and tech devices that are so common in our lives?
Many Minnesotans know about our proud history mining iron ore, but surprisingly few know that Minnesota is also home to some of the very resources needed to transform the economy to achieve our cleaner, greener, more efficient goals.
Join us to learn more about the proposed copper/nickel mine being proposed in Northeast Minnesota, as well as the need for the minerals proposed to be mined in the global economy. David Ulrich from Twin Metals Minnesota will walk us through his company’s plan to build a 21st century mine in Minnesota.
