The Winona Police Department and the City of Winona Attorney’s Office will conduct a training and informational meeting regarding prosecution and loss prevention (shoplifting). It is important that retailers know their rights under the law, but also the rights of the alleged perpetrator as well. Surveillance techniques, paperwork needed, and court room testimony will be discussed. NSF checks for the Winona Area will also be discussed. The Winona Police Department is enforcing NSF and Account Closed check prosecution through the Winona Police Department and the Winona City Attorney’s Office.
