Trouble filling jobs?
The Winona Area Chamber of Commerce Economic Development Committee is hosting a Workforce Summit on Tuesday, July 15 from 11:30 – 1:00. The summit is an extension of the Grow MN! visits conducted in recent months by members of the Economic Development Committee to determine how area employers, particularly manufacturers, rate the local availability of workforce. Specifically, this forum will be focused on three topics:
- Can employers find the people that they need to fill open positions?
- What are the barriers, if any, to filling open positions?
- What can be done collaboratively to overcome identified barriers?
